Fisiograft Bone Granular

SLOWLY ABSORBING SYNTHETIC SPACE MAINTAINER

GRANULAR HYDROXYAPATITE OBTAINED THROUGH A PROCESS PATENTED BY GHIMAS

FEATURES:
Hydroxyapatite grains are obtained shattering porous small blocks of polyurethane sponge.
The patented process consists of soaking a polymeric sponge, characterized by open cells, with hydroxyapatite powder melted in a liquid solution. After this step, the soaked sponge is subjected to a thermic treatment in order to destroy the polyurethane and synthesize the powders.
In this way, the polyurethane material of the sponge is replaced by the micrometrical hydroxyapatite, and, at the same time, the physical structure of the sponge is kept.

From the morphological point of view, the synthesized sponge appears homogeneous. The size of the pores is included in a range of 250-1000 µm and the porosity is interconnected. This is the ideal porosity for cellular proliferation.

APPLICATION METHOD:
FISIOGRAFT BONE granular is ready to be used. For easier manipulation, it can be mixed with a sterile physiological solution until it reaches the ideal consistency. It is recommended to use the product in association with FISIOGRAFT gel, in this way, it can be easily carried inside the defect. After this step, it should be slightly compacted in order to allow the blood to penetrate. It is recommended to not overfill the defect. SLOW ABSORPTION.

Fisiograft Bone Granular Large

FISIOGRAFT BONE granular made with micrometric hydroxyapatite. It is an invasive medical device used in dental and periodontics surgery for sub-mucosal and intraosseous contact. The Hydroxyapatite Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 is naturally porous. Ghimas patented a new manufacturing technique through the Hydroxyapatite (HA) shows the same structural, dimensional and biofunctional characteristics of the natural hydroxyapatite of dentin, cement, and bone. The SMALL type has grains with a size range of 250-500 μm (The micrometre corresponds to a millionth of a meter: 1 μm = 1 × 10-6 m.) The LARGE type has grains with a size range of 500-1000 μm (0,5<>1,00 mm). The presence of two different sizes has designed to simplify the dentist’s choice between two different consistencies, SMALL and LARGE. The large size has used to facilitate the quick restoration of patient tissues.
